Grete Hermann is the most important philosopher of quantum physics you’ve never heard of. Her answer to the riddle of the double slit experiment was the idea that the way we measure the world affects the slice of it that we can see. Of course, the idea of a fragmented view of truth has implications that reach far beyond the realm of physics, into the world at large: politics, art and ethics.
Thanks to Aeon for hiring us to help tell such an inspiring story. Our brains hurt from all the quantum explorations.
